PathConnect Partners with Actress Jessica Biel and Make The Difference Network

April 24th, 2007

LOS ANGELES--(April 25, 2007)--PathConnect teams with film actress Jessica Biel and Make The Difference Network (MTDN) to launch an online community for giving. PathConnect will provide its innovative technology and marketing solutions to re-launch MTDN.com by early summer. MTDN.com allows non-profits to post wishes related to their cause. Potential donors then respond with direct donations and support. MTDN community members interact with each other, post results and share success stories.

Jessica Biel, co-founder of Make The Difference, is known for her commitment to helping others. In 2006, a lunch date with Biel sold for $30,000 during a charity auction. The money went to the Molly Bloom Recovery Fund, a charity created for a Colorado teenager badly-injured in a prom night automobile accident. Leveraging the power of celebrity and the internet, Biel is committed to making a difference. Biel looks forward to the enhanced networking capabilities of Make The Difference Network. Now, she can help others on a global scale. Partnering with PathConnect gives us a powerful set of tools that will allow MTDN to help more non-profits and more people, said Biel.

Make The Difference Network was originally conceived in December 2004. The organization was co-founded by Jessica, her father Jon Biel and cause-marketing expert Kent McBride. The site has been building momentum, but now teams with PathConnect for a full-scale launch.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, PathConnect, LLC is a new media company providing unique social networking applications. PathConnect.com, the companys flagship, targets entrepreneurs and personal growth-enthusiasts. PathConnect Chief Executive Officer Ryan Blair found particular interest in the Biel project because of his own commitment to cause-awareness. Make The Differences online cause network will modernize the way non-profits do business, says Blair. Now, charities can easily connect with supporters and display the results of their efforts.

To celebrate the new partnership, Jessica Biel unveils a profile on PathConnect.com. Here, she will post career news and encourage others to help make the difference.

February 13th, 2007

SAN JOSE, CA – PathConnect.com knows how to party. This Friday, February 16, 2007 the thriving online community hosts a handful of celebrities at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA.

Future Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice headlines the event; the three-time NFL Super Bowl champion will sign his new book, Go Long!: My Journey Beyond the Game and the Fame.  Rice will be joined by two other top American athletes, Maurice Greene and Ruthie Bolton.

Greene, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist known as the “world’s fastest man,” is as famous for his flair off the track as he is for his speed on it.  Ruthie Bolton, Gold Medalist in women’s basketball, is a two-time WNBA All-Star with the Sacramento Monarchs.

Also walking the red carpet are Lauren Shihoma, Claudia Jordan and Kasie Head from NBC’s top-rated gameshow, Deal or No Deal. Lauren Shihoma, Case #8, recently appeared in the critically-acclaimed film, Little Miss Sunshine.

Northern California native, Michael “Mikey” Midgely, is another confirmed A-List guest. Mikey was a finalist on the most-recent season of Bravo’s Top Chef. The show achieved record-high ratings during the January 31, 2007 finale.

This party is among a series of PathConnect events taking place across the country. “An ‘A-List’ party is the perfect way to celebrate the success of our site and our members,” explains Ryan Blair, PathConnect’s Founder and CEO. “It’s not everyday you get to shake hands and have a one-on-one conversation with an Olympic Gold medalist or the hottest girls on TV.”

PathConnect.com is an online community for entrepreneurs and personal growth-enthusiasts. The site offers unique goal-setting tools and provides a platform for interaction among individuals with similar areas of interest. In addition, PathConnect profiles ‘A-List’ personalities who have overcome obstacles to achieve success in life.

This event is open to PathConnect members and the media only.

PathConnect Boldly Launches SND Engine to Public

January 23th, 2007

Los Angeles-- Monday, November 13, 2006-- Social Networking for the Ambitious Lifestyle got a little more ambitious today, as PathConnect.com rolled out a revolutionary new application.

The site has released its proprietary Social Network Distribution engine, allowing any member of this free community to advertise for free to their network of friends and contacts.

Members now have the ability to fill out customized text advertisements across more than a dozen categories to promote their products, goods, services, events and business.  This advertisement will then play free of charge to each member’s network of invited friends and contacts.

“We designed the architecture of our site to track not only who each member invites to join PathConnect, but who those people invite, and so on,” said CEO Ryan Blair.  The result is a distribution channel that allows a member’s ads to play down a chain of referrals that can grow infinitely.

“Everybody knows people… Now, we’ve made it easier than ever to exponentially expand your reach and expose your business,” Chief Sales Officer Nick Sarnicola added.

The concept of Social Networking is no longer a hidden corner of the Internet landscape and PathConnect has invested heavily to ensure they lead the industry in a new direction.

Despite the significant investment, Blair is cavalier when mentioning his plans with the application.  “We might just release it to the open source community.  I mean, why not?  It isn’t just about making waves; it’s what PathConnect is all about.  If you’ve done something cool, you can sit on it and be greedy, or share it with others so that they can have success too.  We’ll be happy to take a cut, of course,” Ryan said with a wry smile.

A shrewd businessman to the end, Blair knows that he has put in motion the application to change an industry. Blair is already in talks with several major brands to develop niche networks, including World Champion Skier Bode Miller’s SkiSpace, and a Personal Development community with Chicken Soup for the Soul author Mark Victor Hansen.
